Day 30!

Well, today is my last post of January - we're leaving the house in about 30 minutes to drive to Indy for my sisters wedding! I wont' have internet out there (or time!) to post, so I say farewell to my January posting marathon! Even though I missed a few days, I really enjoyed the challenge to find at least one sentence to say every day :) You never know...this could be the start of something new for me! ;)

Yesterday we went to a Johnny Lang concert. It was my first experience at the House of Blues in Chicago, and it was SO AMAZING. It's a really really small venue, but we got there early and were really close to the stage. The floor literally bounces all night from the movement/energy of the people on it. It's amazing! Johnny Lang is an out of this world guitar player, and I wasn't sure what to expect going into it, but it ended up being a 2 hour jam session. They played their songs, but a song would last 20 minutes because the band would just rock out! As much as I enjoyed myself, I most enjoyed the look of rapt wonderment on Nick's face all night. Johnny Lang is the reason Nick started playing guitar all these years ago, and he was like a little kid in a candy shop. We left the house at 5:30 yesterday morning, and didn't get home until 1 this morning. I don't remember the last time I was up until 1 - not even on new years eve!

Okay I'm off to finish packing! I have stressed about it all morning, spent the last hour doing it, and I've just decided that as long as I have my bridesmaid dress and shoes - anything else I forget can be bought there. So I'm stress free now!

I'll be posting photos soon....she's going to be beautiful, so you won't want to miss them!

Day 27!

It has occurred to me that I am coming up on 19 years of friendship with my best friend, Jenny. I'm probably about 2 months early on the actual "frieniversary" but it's close enough to be celebrating! I met Jenny at church, and as much as I hate to admit it, I don't remember the "first moment" meeting. She's just...always been in my memories. She's always been in my "when I was young" stories. She's always been in my "I dont' know what I'd do without..." stories.

We became the worlds best at convincing our chauffeurs that yes, it was completely necessary to spend the night together again, even though I just got home 2 hours ago. We always went to my dad - he could never resist my huge curls, or Jen's huge eyes. There were countless overnights at Jen's dad's house, carefully planning out from the TV guide what shows we were going to watch that night, and setting alarms so that we only slept between 1:30 a.m and 2, so we were up again in time for the latest re-run of I Love Lucy. I would always haul my 25 stuffed animals with me to her house (yes, I had extra bags packed to bring them all), and she tolerated my OCD need to set them all up just perfectly for cuddling with at night. We would stay up into all hours of the night sitting on the couch, using the porch light to play (for the 4 millionth time) MASH, deciding our future in every which way possible. We even snuck candy, usually sweet tarts, and evenly divided them up by color under secret cover of our sleeping bags on the living room floor. Aaaand of course, not one of our parents knew we weren't sleeping soundly like good little girls! ;)

I could go on and on and on. But she's amazing. And somewhere along the line, we weren't little girls playing restaurant in her bedroom anymore, we were young women, I was moving away and our friendship was strained. I suddenly wanted different things in life, and couldn't understand why she didn't want the same things. It was the first strain I had ever felt in our relationship, and I didn't even know what to do without her being my partner in crime. Life has shifted and changed countless more times over the years, but the one thing that has always stayed consistent and the same has been my immense love of this woman and need for her in my life. She is the perfect compliment of me, and a true kindred spirit. She is someone that I love and respect, and look up to. She has a heart for the Lord that challenges me, and a quietness of spirit that I have never understood, but strive to emulate. She is my Diana, my kindred spirit, and I love her with everything in me.

Jenny, this photo is already almost a year old - it's time for a new one.

19 years is a long time girly, and I have no doubt that we will be those little old ladies, sitting on our porch (obviously being waited on hand and foot) drinking strawberry daquiri's and giggling about anything that comes to mind.

Day 26!

Today started with my friend, Migraine. It was horrible start to the morning! My sleepy husband did his best to wake up and help, and thankfully after a couple extra hours of sleep I was able to see straight :) I've been sitting on my couch since I got home, caught up on SuperStars of Dance (yes yes...I know it's lame!) and am now watching House (yay!). I'm about to make Nick take me for ice cream, because I saw it on House and I'm definitely craving it now.

Away to Coldstone!!!!

Day 25!

So...turns out I missed two days! Friday night, we went over to have dinner and spend some time with a couple that mean the world to me. Ben and Sue have been my "grandparents" for as long as I can remember...they aren't really my grandparents, but they have definitely filled that role in my life. They are both amazing people, and I have a lot of memories of Christmas dinners, week nights watching TV in my favorite chair that I swear could have fit 4 people in it, hot tubbing on the patio, and lots of iced tea. It was Ben's birthday on Friday, and they were in town, so we got to spend the evening with them, their daughter in law, Laura and her kids! Ben asked me to bring my camera to take photos of the kids, and I just had to share a couple of them. The baby of the family, Addison, is just about the cutest thing ever, and her Grandpa just adooooores her.

Saturday was my sisters bachelorette party. Her wedding is this upcoming Saturday in Indy, and my friend and amazing photographer Morgan is shooting it! I'm so excited to see her!!!! So for the bachelorette, we went to this great place downtown called Beadniks, where you make your own jewelry! They have tables and tables and TABLES of beads and pearls and pendants, 40 different chain options and you can make anything at all that you want! It was SO much fun and so hard to decide on what to put together. I will definitely be making additional trips to this place! We had a lot of fun! This is what Gwen put together...

Nick and I had a lazy morning, and he had to work this afternoon. I've continued the lazing (and mostly pouting that he left me), had sushi for dinner, and have watched 12 to many episodes of Friends. Nick gets home at 9 and we'll have enough time to squeeze in one extra episode of House before bed.

Happy Sunday!

Day 22!

It's amazing how productive one can be when one is not distracted by puzzles :) I got a lot done tonight, including making cookies and balancing our checkbook (yay!). Oh! And laundry and cleaning my home. So there! That's productive!!

Today was another crazy busy day. Aaaaaand I made really yummy cheesy potatoes for dinner, which made me really happy.

Oh! I have great news! It's warm!!! I actually drove with my sunroof cracked on my way home!! And I cracked our sliding door in the living room today! It made me the happiest EVER to realize that yes, winter will end. I love this first upswing of weather, when the cold lifts, and you drive to work realizing that it's actually getting light out before 7. It's enough to make me want to do a little dance!

Even still, I'd happily be back here....

Day 21!

So I absolutely meant to post yesterday about the inauguration, but I was so out of it last night that I totally forgot!

I watched just the inauguration "swearing in" part, and was just rooted to the spot. I may not have voted for the man, but it's now time to rally around this man that has sworn to uphold our founding fathers virtues and have promised to sacrifice everything for our country. I can't imagine what was going through his head as he was sworn in. I wonder if he felt the weight of the world settle on his shoulders. I wonder if he wanted to laugh out loud at the incredible reality of what he was doing. I wonder what was going through his wife's mind as she walked the streets with him, sat in the cold in her great lime green dress, and listen to him sacrifice everything for a country of people that are divided for and against him. I wonder if his girls really understand what their father is doing, and are proud of him.

I saw only one shot of President Bush during the ceremonies - and he just looked worn out. Not releived, not happy, just....tired. He served this country for 8 years and sacrificed everything for it. He has served a country that has disliked him, ridiculed him, and disgraced him. Whether or not I agree with everything that he did or decisions he made, I admire and respect him so much for the way he's served this country.

It is a new era, friend. There is a new man in town that has great ideas, heavy dreams and grand plans. Regardless of my personal feelings for him, I 100% stand behind him and will support him in prayer and honor him.

And I will be grateful to his wife for sharing her husband with us for the duration of his term.

Day 20!

This is a significant post! This is my 100th post!!! It's so sad to think that the last 20 of those posts are from 2009 but hey! it's a start!

I thought all day today that it was Wednesday. When it turned out that it was only Tuesday, it was....disappointing? Shocking? I haven't quite decided yet. The day was packed, and moved quickly. I'm glad it's almost bedtime though :) I'm awfully sleepy and worn out! I made yummy yummy yummy pork tenderloin for dinner tonight and now we're watching House before bed.

I'm quite honestly out of words today. Its been a loooooong day.

Day 19!

Nick worked late tonight, so I took the opportunity for a chick flick movie night. I got into jammies, and snuggled down in his robe (seriously, the best Christmas present I could have ever gotten him...he just never gets to use it because I am!). Thin Mint girl scout cookies are my arch nemesis, but I managed to contain myself to only 6 tonight (cookies...not boxes.).

I have been wanting to watch the newest release of Pride and Prejudice for...well...3 years now. I remember my sister telling me that she literally watched it three times in a row on day. Started, ended, started etc. I thought there was NO WAY a movie could actually be that good - but let me tell you. It's just that good. I cried. Five times. It's just...so....UUUUUGH! So amazing.

My favorite quotes of the movie - Darcy is professing his love to her (for the second time) and begging her to tell him if her feelings for him haven't changed. And he says "You have bewitched me, heart and soul, and I love, I love, I love you and never wish to be parted from you again.". And then at the end, they're are married at sitting together and he says "how are you this evening, my dear?" and she's teasing him about not calling her "my dear" but lists other things he can call her. He asks when he can call her Mrs. Darcy, and she says "only when you are completely, and perfectly and incandescently happy" and he takes her face in his hands and says "and how are you this evening, Mrs. Darcy? (kiss) Mrs. Darcy (kiss) Mrs. Darcy (kiss)." OH MY GOSH IT'S SO AMAZING. It just makes my tummy flip upside and over. Jane Austin is just an amazing writer, and creates the most beautiful love stories - and I haven't ever read or watched one of her stories that doesn't just hit my heart.

If you haven't yet - please watch this movie. It's beautiful and elegant and soft and passionate. It's an amazing film, and a beautiful story.

Happy Monday - bedtime for bonzo!

Day 18!

I love Sunday's. This is the day that I normally allow all lists to hide, all work to suddenly disappear, and my house to be messy. I've been sitting on my couch since 11 watching friends. I did get a little bit of work done, but now I'm done, and I'm about to start another puzzle :) This is what Sunday's are for!

Nick and I tried out a new church this morning, and the pastor was talking about having sacrificial and radical love. He was talking about BEING love, not just going through the actions. It was a huge reminder to shift my focus into "being" love. It absolutely changes everything and brings so much more meaning to daily activities. Nick and I had a discussion a few weeks ago about living life intentionally, and this is just another great reminder. He used the example of Jesus washing his disciples feet, which was an intentional decision to serve them in the midst of his dinner/last hours. My goal this week is to do at least one thing every day that is an intentional act of love.

Off to my puzzle, and the next episode of friends :)

Saturday, January 17, 2009

Day 17!

I was just as productive as I hoped today! We actually have food in the house, my car is freshly oiled (only 1200 miles overdue), and all gifts/packages and thank you's have been mailed! That leaves me all day tomorrow to finish up my finances, and get a few work things done.

I've allowed myself the rest of the night to completely shut down and 100% relax, so I'm blogging now and turning my computer off. I bought some new wedding magazines, new books and a couple new puzzles and might just do a little of all of those things tonight! Right now, we're watching friends, and my gourmet dinner is going to consist of hot dogs and curly fries :)

G'night!

Day 16!

I got home from work today, determined to start on my list of things to do this weekend, and actually got quite a bit done! I'm so proud of myself! One of my things to do is address our thank you cards that have been written for the last 4 weeks, and I just haven't gotten around to addressing them for mailing. We are definitely abusing the "you have a year" rule on getting thank you's out - it's completely embarrassing! To all of you that came to our wedding, please don't think we are any less grateful!

We watched Get Smart tonight. I forgot how stinking funny it is! Dwayne Johnson should be in every movie as far as I'm concerned....he's beautiful. You know - he could pass for Nick's brother.... :)

Okay I'm up 40 minutes past bedtime so I'm off! Happy Weekend!!

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Day 15!

I finished my puzzle!!!! I definitely did a little victory dance :)

This means that now I actually have to be productive. My house needs to be vacuumed liked you would not believe, and I have laundry! I love being lazy, but it's time people.

I would like to point out that it was -9 degrees when I left for work this morning. Please rescue me with a vacation to Cabo!

Day 14!

We had dinner with Nick's grandparents tonight. They live in a retirement community just 5 minutes up the road from us, and this is the first time since moving to the area that we've had dinner with them. They absolutely LOVE when their grand kids come for dinner....they adore Nicholas SO much and I just love it :)

His grandpa is so madly in love with his wife. I just can't even take it. They live with a familiarity that can only be born from 65 years together. She gets cranberry sauce with her dinner and hands it to him saying "I don't like cranberries" and he smiles and says "I know you don't". He orders her coffee and tells the waitress she likes to have it before her food comes out. He talks about her like she's not right there in front of him "she's so great", "she loves it when...", "she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen" (that one is normally accompanied by tears). Their love is so....palpable. I can only pray that Nick and I are just like them after that many years together.

And they love their grand kids (and great grandkids!). They are, of course, the smartest kids in the world, best looking boys, and prettiest girls out there. I love spending time with this family. I was so blessed to marry into this unit...I have absolutely no horror stories about any in-lawed family!! I love them all and they are all amazing.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Day 13!

Instead of being productive tonight, I worked on my puzzle. I'm just about halfway done with it! However, that does get bills paid :) Oh well...there's always tomorrow!

Nick is rushing me off to bed, so I have to make this pretty quick. My normal state of appearance these days would lead one to believe that I have half raccoon due to the size and shade of bags under my eyes! So he's being a good husband and making me sleep more. Which I whine about, but secretly love :)

I wanted to share with you about my friend and amazing artist, Anna Trefil. Anna was one of my brides last year, and now that her wedding is over and she has ton's of time on her hands, she has turned her amazing gift of art into a business, Your Minds Design! Anna creates personalized 3D paintings, and they are AMAZING. She's just released the start of her website (www.ymdartwork), and has some more of her work showcased on myspace (www.myspace.com/44189250). You should absolutely look through some of her work and get in touch with her to commission your own peice! Everything she creates is one of a kind, and she has a session with each client to talk about what they want - she completely caters to each persons style. I'm still trying to figure out what I want - but I have the perfect wall space and colors picked out already!!

Okay - bedtime! G'night!

Monday, January 12, 2009

Day 12!

I finally got the chance to talk to my favorite mentor tonight on my way home from work. Ms. Sarah is amazing, and I always hang up being hugely refreshed and encouraged. Her cheerful voice is enough to lift my spirits!! I think everyone should be best friends with her, but then I would have to share her even more - so instead everyone should just be jealous that I'm friends with her :)

Not much going on tonight. I'm finishing up laundry, already ran a couple errands, and now I'm checking off the blogging box for the day and working on my puzzle. So because I have absolutely nothing interesting to talk about.....here are some of my favorite engagement/portrait shots of 2008!

Day 11!

I confess: I got dressed for 90 minutes today. But then I came back home, and got back in jammies. I took a couple cookies to Nick at work, then ran to Home Goods and found the most perfect orange plates. They match my mixer and my toaster, and they made me really happy. AND...they were on sale!

I started a puzzle tonight. I got the outside almost put together with the exception of one little bugger. It's a gorgeous shot of some place in Europe with firecrackers. Lots of orange. It's beautiful, and I'm slightly concerned about actually finishing it. (yes, I know it makes me a geek...but I love puzzles!)

Have I mentioned how much I love my house? :)

Day 10!

Today started at 5:30 getting up to get on the road to Crystal Lake. Unbeknownst to me, it snowed all night! So it was an interesting drive :) Breakfast with my daddy, client meeting with the sweetest couple, shopping for home decor with my best friend, then back home for clothes shopping and dinner with my hubby. It was a good day, friend :) I'm just about finished with my new home decor...and I'm in LOVE with my house. It's so incredibly adorable - if I do say so myself!! AAaaaannnnd I got the cutest clothes this afternoon. My husband is so good to me!!

Tomorrow, I have absolutely NOTHING on my calendar for the first time in what feels like months (well..you know, since Aruba, which I'm pretty sure was 6 years ago). I have every intention of staying in jammies all day, reading a book, blogging a little bit, working up our 2009 budget, and making cookies.

For a Christmas stocking stuffer, I got Nick a "Coupons From Santa" book. It's the cutest little book with these "coupons" like...."tonight we watch any christmas movie of my choice" or "tonight, I wish for my favorite Christmas dinner" or "this coupon is good for a massage". It's full of little Christmas related things like that. So Nick pulled his first one out today "this coupon is good for a batch of my favorite cookies" - which he gleefully handed to me saying "chocolate chip please!". So tomorrow, my top priority is making chocolate chip cookies for my man.

By the way, did I mention I got the CUTEST clothes today? My favorite item was a pair of dress pants that would probably pretty easily pass for yoga pants. So comfy. And I'm so excited about them. My fast second favorite was a pair of cream and blue pinstriped casual pants. I feel like a size 0 - and they are my other new favorite thing :)

Oh! And new look for BethLaurren Photography 2009! Orange/green and white are the colors of the season!

Happy Saturday night!

Day 8!

After MUCH waiting and what I've heard has become a life consuming addiction of checking for photos......I present to you - MATT AND ASHLEY!!!

I just don't really even know where to start. Ashley and I have talked DAILY about this day since her Easter egg engagement, and it was finally here, and it was so wonderful. It took me days to go through 1800 photos to find the best ones for the slide show and to tell about the day.

First of all, before I start to gush about my amazing friend and her new husband, I want to talk about the families. I finally had the pleasure of meeting Ashley's family...especially her mom. Mrs. Rowe - you are beautiful, amazing, gracious, and loving and I loved getting to know you. You have no idea how much Ashley looks up to you and adores you, and believe me, it's so easy to see why.

I also wanted to thank Matt's parents for their hospitality, and especially Matt's mom for EVERYTHING that you did for this wedding. I so much appreciated the help that you selflessly gave to these two. You went so much above and beyond, and I want to make sure you know it was noticed. Ashley loves you both so much, and I have been very blessed by you both.

Aaaaand to my new best friends, Kristin and Nina. Kristen - I haven't stayed awake until 3:30 in the morning in YEARS. girl. That just goes to show how awesome you are! And Nina...Nina, Nina.....please move to Chicago. I had SO MUCH FUN with you. You are everything and more in person that you are via gchat ;) You were the biggest help ever on the wedding day especially, and it blessed me to see you bless my Ashley like that. She didn't have to worry about anything, because you were there to take care of it. Oh, and I tried to only pick the best photos of you ;) I think you're amazing. Really really.

Folks, this is what Nina looked like most of the day - cell phone, keys, and whatever else Ash needed in hand!

Photobucket

Okay - now for a couple snapshots that need stories....

This little man....stole my heart. I think there are even a couple of photos of just him in the slideshow! He stood with the groomsmen throughout the ceremony (with the exception of an absolutely necessary potty break!) and he just tried SO hard to stand still and behave, but apparently love stories aren't that thrilling to little men :) He was just the cuuuutest thing!

Photobucket

Ashley did her little sister's make up. Maybe you need to know Ashley and the love she has for her sisters, but she LOVES these girls. And I love the focus on her face.

Photobucket

The daddy/daughter dance made me cry. This man....LOVES his daughter.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The post-ceremony photo - where the bride and groom have 3 seconds alone before their wedding party crushes them, is always so so sweet.

Photobucket

Umm....I love her. Ashley looks like this a lot. She just has a lot of joy. And she might laugh louder than me.

Photobucket

Aaaand I love them. Together.

Photobucket

The day was amazing. Ashley - it turned out beautiful. You did an amazing job, and even though the road was long and little bumpy, you're married!!! Now the best part begins, the wedding was the easy part :) I can't wait to hear about the first fight because you left your towel on the floor again....or someone didn't put away the dishes.

Matt - I can't imagine anyone better suited for my woman. (I'm going to stop there because I'm getting all teary again.)

I love you both SO MUCH. If you haven't gotten enough cold in Seattle, Chicago is cold until May.....

Oh! The song on this slide show (sorry, Matt :) ) has a story with it. Ashley came to visit last fall, and I picked her up from the airport and this song came on. After BLASTING it out of the speakers, windows down, belting it out in our best tones...Ashley begged me to play this for her wedding. And I just had to...because this song speaks about endurance and PASSION. And if there is anything that you are, Ash,it's passionate. And your love for Matt is passionate.

I love you guys.

Day 7!

Okay I have a realllly good excuse for not posting yesterday (maybe not a good excuse, but a fun excuse!). I got home from work yesterday and my wonderful husband had already started the laundry and cleaned the kitchen, so our only goal for the night was to finish putting away Christmas stuff. Well.....THAT turned into me rearranging our entire living space! We have one "great" room that I have to fit a kitchen table, living room and office into (trust me, NOT an easy feat). When we moved in, I just kinda put things around so that I could unpack and function. Well.....you wouldn't recognize my house now :) We moved furniture, swapped desks for our kitchen table (which is actually a desk top from IKEA so it doesn't look funky, don't worry). And then we ran to IKEA to get a REAL kitchen table (which ended up being another desk top!) We didn't get home until about 9, and rearranged the office area and by the time 9:45 rolled around I was about ready to sleep on the floor where I was standing. I was so sleepy and decided to sleep instead of post. So there's my excuse, but let me tell you, I LOVE my home now. It's great!!

Matt and Ashely's photos will be up soon! I'm about to have a mob on my hands if I don't get them up! My home took first place last night, but don't worry to all of you that are checking every 3 minutes (*cough* Nina!)....they will be coming!

Happy Wednesday!

Day 5!

Okay, 4 out of 5 isn't too bad for me so far :)

Today was my first day back at work in what seemed like a really long time. Yes, I have a "day job". I like to pretend I'm a superhero - finance by day, photographer by night. hahah! Totally a dork, I know. Well, with the holiday's and Aruba....I've had a lot of time off the last month, and it felt good to sit down and get cracking back on a schedule.

I've spent my night working on photography business things. I'm so excited about this upcoming year, and am so excited about the clients I'm already working with. I have some AMAZING couples that I'm working with this year! I've got so many new ideas for systems and tracking and just things that have desperately needed improvement after completing my first full year of my business. Learning to track dates and events has proven more frustrating at times than it's needed to be. I'll be on the phone in the car with a client and they're telling me their wedding date and if it's not written down immediately (not an easy thing to do driving on the interstate)....I forget! So I have implemented a new system for that. Another thing that I have been poorly lacking on this past year was turn around times - so I've implemented new things for that this year. Those are just two of my full page bullet point list of things that are changing this year! Needless to say, I'm IMMENSELY grateful for my clients last year and the amount of patience I was given!

And just a quick sneak peek into my weekend away....I'll do a full post tomorrow, but what's a Monday without a little teaser :)

This photo....makes me cry still. I cried when I saw it in real time and it still makes me teary! Matt LOVES this woman. And it's just so...powerful. Holding one hand wasn't enough for him...he held them both.

Photobucket

A little dramatic and gorgeous!

Photobucket

Aaaaaand I experimented a little bit. Ashley was totally game for laying all over the place!

Photobucket

Slideshow to come!

Day 4!

Opps....soo...I already missed a day!!! My excuse is due to a 3:30 a.m. bedtime Friday night, long flight and utter exhaustion all afternoon/evening. But! I remembered today!!

The wedding was AMAZING and I will post more on it tomorrow! Ashley was beautiful, and Matt was head over heels. I can't wait to share photos.

One of my favorite parts about the trip was meeting (at LONG last) Nina, Matt's sister. I had gchat-ed with her numerous times and have heard only about 567,409 times from Ashley how amazing and great she is, and turns out? EVERYTHING I've heard is true. She is amazing and quite possibly my new best friend. Aaaaannnnndddddd I got to meet Kristin, Matt's brother's girlfriend. I haven't talked to her before, but I fell in love twice this weekend. These two girls are....beYOND amazing. It was an amazing weekend. So much fun!

And now, I'm going to bed. Turns out...I'm old, and 9:10 is a perfectly acceptable bedtime!

Until tomorrow....

Friday, January 2, 2009

Day 2!

I decided to post quick before the wedding activities go into full swing for the day. Our night ended with everyone laying all over the living room of the grooms family....Ashley sleeping with her head in Matt's lap, Nina (the grooms sister) stretched out with an arm over her head. I LOVE these people so much. I met Matt's family when I came last April to do Matt and Ashley's engagement shoot, and when I came in the door last night I was greeted with hugs and smiles! Their home is beautiful and they are so incredibly welcoming. We all crashed in bed somewhere around 11:00 and we're back up and running! People are headed to florists, the church, breakfast...you name it - it's on the list!!

I'm so excited about the rest of the day! I love these people so much....it's going to be amazing!

Off to shower and breakfast!

January 1st!

Happy New Year!!! Day 1 of my new years resolution - and I'm posting!

I'm sitting in Orlando, FL with my kindred spirit, Ashley Rae Rowe. She's getting married in 26 hours! I got up this morning, had a brief scare with telling my hubby to go to the wrong airport, but still made it in time for my flight at the RIGHT airport and got here this morning! We have accomplished last minute shopping, had lunchtime martini's (Ash had a bug included to her's for no charge...gross!!), gotten attendant gifts ready, and now she's packing for her honeymoon to Seattle. Yes, that's right - the couple from Florida is going to cold/rainy Seattle for a romantic honeymoon. I tried to talk her out of it but....

On the flight over, I pulled some of my favorite wedding/engagement/portrait shots from the year, and wanted to share them with you. I have been blessed with the most AMAZING brides and grooms this past year.
