Steve and Courtney :: Married!!

Steve and Courtney are just one of those couples that perfectly fit together. Steve is one of Nick's friends that actually stood up in our wedding, and he's.....interesting :) Nick and Steve have the most bizarre inside jokes and think the most off the wall things are hysterical. Courtney and I normally just end up sitting there shaking our heads at the two of them. But! Courtney gets Steve in ways that (literally) no one else does and she laughs at his little quirks, and perfectly complements him. They are so laid back together and comfortable with each other, and you can tell that they definitely fell in love with their best friend!

They got married at a golf course out here in Naperville, and the day was perfectly overcast and wonderfully cool all day. The rain even held off until all outdoor activities were over!

Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.

I LOVE the first moments the couple has alone after they've recessed....it's pure joy!

Courtney kept warning me that she and Steve weren't photogenic....lies! All lies. They were so great!

And I just love how elegant Courtney is here....her dress, her hair, her her her!

This is probably my absolute favorite shot of the day. Courtney's little feet with the flip flop and flowers and her looking at Steve....UGH! I love it!!

Steve and Courtney, we love you guys so much and hope you are having a wonderful time in the DR! We demand a dinner date when you get back!

Steve and Anna

I don't think I have ever seen a bride a groom SO COMPLETELY in love. Steve and Anna couldn't keep their hands or eyes off each other all day long, and I wish I had started taking a tally of the amount of time Steve would grab Anna, look deep in her eyes, and whisper he loved her. She melted every time!!

Sunday morning dawned slightly overcast, and uncharacteristically cool, promising a perfect day for an outdoor wedding! I met the girls at Anna's parents home and was immediately welcomed in by such a wonderful group of women. It was so laid back and loving and filled with quiet excitement and exclamations over the gorgeous bride. The day was covered in prayer, and carried by a wedding party and parents that truly loved these two that were committing themselves together forever.

Steve and Anna met at college, and immediately connected over a love of playing, living and breathing hockey. I've heard some interesting stories of Anna on the ice that I just can't connect with the quiet, sweet person she is! She was quite the player from what I hear. And Steve....well. Anna told me all about Steve when we met a few weeks ago to go over the wedding day, and I could go on and on about all the marvelous things she said about him, but as far as I'm concerned - you only need to know one thing about this man. He loves this woman from the deepest recesses of his heart. And it was just so amazing to be in the middle of it for the day with them.

They opted for a first look, which as a photographer, I absolutely loved! It sets such a great mood for the day and their private moment together is so sweet. A little peek into it....

And then came all the hugging. Steve didn't want to let her go. I had to coax him out of photos so I could get some of just Anna!

Speaking of the bride.....look how pretty!!

Anna's girls were fantastic, all so cute, and all so happy!!

Steve's guys weren't too bad themselves - this is them giving me their best GQ looks....watch out ladies! ;)

Photobucket

I normally don't show ceremony photos on their own....but this was too sweet to pass up. Steve swept up his bride at the end of the ceremony and KISSED THAT GIRL. I actually cried!!

Photobucket

I normally don't shoot dancing shots either - but I fell in love with this one...

Photobucket

Rushing off for the night - and let me tell you - I found out that Steve and Anna move at FULL SPEED! Must be the hockey... :)

Steve and Anna, I hope you have a wonderful time in Minnesota on your honeymoon!! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your day! Your love truly blessed me.

Enjoy the SLIDESHOW!!

Brian and Kait

I got my first email from Kait last summer, and I think I started my own little love affair with her at that moment! She is sweet, unassuming, and just so stinking adorable. You take just one look at her and you want to hug her and be her best friend!! It is sooooo easy to see why Brian loves her so much!

I love when a bride involves me in her wedding plans (if you're a blog reader, you know that I absolutely love EVERYthing about weddings!), and Kait was one of those. She'd send check-in emails periodically, and just chat wedding with me. I loved it! I was so excited for her day to finally come around and see everything finally come together!! She had a few very close friends stand up with her, and she and Brian just stared at each other adoringly all day.

Brian was a very calm groom, spending his morning just hanging out with his guyfriends, playing basketball from what I hear! He sat in the church cool as a cucumber waiting for the show to get started!

Brian and Kait got married in the sweetest old church in Algonquin. I love wedding ceremonies in traditional churches, with pews and stained glass!! It adds a romantic, fairytale twist to it and the creaking floors make me want to giggle every time I step on it! It was a beautiful ceremony, full of tenderness and love and was followed by the most rocked out reception! I don't usually see that many people dancing all night!!

Here's a little sneak preview....

Kait was absolutely RADIATING beauty. I don't think she stopped smiling all day!

She was so cute - she was waving to people out the limo window on the way to the church.

I love the feel of this one..

Kait and her dad had a very special bond, and you could just tell that he was so proud of his baby. The first photo is his face when he saw her for the first time.

See? The stained glass?? It's just so beautiful!

I love the kiss right after the ceremony, in the first few seconds the couple has alone (except for me!).

And just a few of the happy couple....
